How We Got There

  • The Shuswap Farmstand Program began with identifying a clear opportunity to enhance agritourism while supporting local producers. I conducted early outreach to gauge interest from farmers, tourism partners, and regional stakeholders to ensure alignment and viability. Feedback confirmed strong support, allowing us to shape a program rooted in community needs. With that foundation, I secured funding and moved forward with a strategic launch.

  • Applied and received a grant through the Ministry of Tourism, Arts & Culture and Sport.

Garnered support letters from community stakeholders

  • Created Program Strategy with the Culinary Tourism Alliance.

    Developed a user-friendly website

Created informational assets and social media campaigns to encourage enrollment in the program.

Marketing Strategy development to create excitement for the launch.

    Stakeholder engagement strategies

  • Various program check-ins and reporting to stakeholders.

End of season wrap up discussing successes and improvements.
